Presentation at SW Geotech Conference – Phoenix 2017

Since 2009 Naresh has been involved with the development of calibration procedures for AASHTO LRFD service limit state for foundation deformations. The work was performed as part of Project R19B of SHRP2. Subsequently, Naresh co-authored a manual for AASHTO and FHWA titled "Incorporation of Foundations Deformations in AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Process." Naresh has been retained by AASHTO and FHWA through a contract with CH2M Hill to deliver presentations and training courses nationwide. As part of this contract, Naresh delivered a presentation on May 3, 2017, at the 42nd Annual Southwest Geotechnical Engineers Conferences in Phoenix, AZ. Project 12-103 of the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) is a research study to evaluate the tolerance of bridge superstructure to total and differental foundation movements.
