College Level Instruction With Real World Application

Visit Upcoming Events to find courses scheduled in 2026 by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Continuing Education Program and other providers.
All the courses are taught by Naresh C. Samtani.

Over the past 30 years, Dr. Samtani has developed and offered several geotechnical courses to various agencies such as the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), Pima County Department of Transportation (PCDOT), Maricopa Department of Transportation (MCDOT), University of Arizona, Town of Oro Valley and numerous State Highway Agencies throughout the country. He has further taught internationally, e.g., at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. Training sessions for these entities have ranged from 1-hour seminars to 5-day short courses. Dr. Samtani has delivered over 100 in-person short courses for FHWA/NHI, ASCE, various Departments of Transportation (DOT’s), and others. He has also delivered over 125 online courses for the ASCE.

Dr. Samtani offers training events geared towards civil engineering design professionals practicing in the private and public sectors.  These events range from face-to-face short courses to webinars.  In these training events, Dr. Samtani places particular emphasis on the practical application of theories, construction techniques, and specifications, ensuring that practicing engineers are fully versed in newer and emerging technologies on the market.
