La Cañada Soil Nail Wall

Prepared performance specifications and reviewed third party soil nail wall designs on behalf of the Town of Oro Valley for a retaining wall along La Cañada drive near Dutton Place. Provided training to inspectors and construction oversight. Setup and monitoring of the data from inclinometers. Significant modifications to the soil nail wall were needed when it was discovered that utility firms had not identified their utilities correctly during the design phase. Participated in the public relations effort to explain soil nail wall concepts.
